Beach & Waterfront Work

Beach restoration, shoreline work and waterfront site preparation.

Licensing note

Shoreline work is permit-heavy. Ask the crew which permits they will apply for and which are your responsibility.

Typical jobs

  • →Shoreline restoration and native plantings
  • →Rip-rap and erosion control
  • →Beach sand blankets and access paths
  • →Waterfront site prep for docks and lifts

Minnesota notes

  • Work below the ordinary high water level of public waters generally needs a Minnesota DNR permit or must fit a DNR exemption. Check before anything moves.
  • Counties enforce shoreland rules on vegetation removal, setbacks and impervious surface near the water.
  • Timing matters: many lakes have fish-spawning windows when in-water work is limited.
