Questions
About the dashboard
Is it really free?
Yes. The dashboard is free for homeowners running their own projects.
Where is my project saved?
In this draft demo, your project and documents are saved only in this browser on this device. Use "Export JSON" to back up your project data. Documents aren't included in the export.
Does Minnesota SubHelp do the construction work?
No. Minnesota SubHelp connects homeowners with independent contractors. We don't perform construction work. Each contractor is an independent business and is responsible for their own licensing, insurance, and workmanship. Please confirm a contractor's license (where required) and insurance before work starts.
Does the dashboard tell me which permits and inspections I need?
No. It gives you a typical order of work and a place to track permits and inspections. Your local city or county building department decides what's required for your project.
Can Minnesota SubHelp help me find subs?
Yes. You can get matched with hand-picked independent contractors, or keep running the job yourself and get help coordinating the trades. See the options on our homeowner page.
