What we collect through this website, why, how long we keep it, and how to reach us.
Minnesota SubHelp ("SubHelp," "we") runs mnsubhelp.com, a referral network that introduces homeowners and builders to independent contractor crews in Minnesota. Contact: office@mnsubhelp.com.
Crew request emails. The request form on our home page opens your own email app; we receive whatever you send, such as your name, email, location, trade and project details.
Join as a Crew. Business and contact name, email, phone, trades, counties, license number, notes, your typed signature on the Crew Referral Agreement, and the documents you upload (license, certificate of insurance, W-9, workers' compensation). A W-9 can contain a Social Security or employer ID number.
Scope helper. Your answers are processed in your browser. If you choose to send them, we receive your name, email, county, town, description, the scope draft and any photos you upload.
Job check-in. Job reference, crew name, status, optional final amount, and optional name, email and notes.
Technical data. When you submit a form we record the date, time and your IP address. We use it to prevent spam and abuse and, for the Crew Referral Agreement, as a record of your electronic agreement. Our web host may also keep standard server logs.
The free Project Dashboard and planner save data in your own browser; we do not receive it unless you send it to us.
To respond to you (we reply within 24 hours), vet crews, make introductions, keep referral and commission records, follow up on jobs, and prevent fraud. We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated advertising.
When we introduce you to a crew, we share the project details needed for that crew to contact and quote you. We share crew business details with homeowners we introduce them to. We do not post uploaded documents on the website. We may disclose information if required by law. Our web host and email provider process data on our behalf.
Uploaded files and form logs are stored on our web host in a folder that is not publicly accessible, with random file names. Notification emails to us list the details but do not attach your files. No system is perfectly secure; please don't upload documents that aren't requested.
Crew documents and agreement records: while the crew is in our network and for up to 3 years after, for referral and commission records. Unaccepted crew applications: up to 12 months. Scope helper photos and requests: up to 12 months. Job check-ins: up to 3 years. Email correspondence: as long as needed for the purposes above. We may keep information longer where the law requires.
Email office@mnsubhelp.com to ask what we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. We'll answer within 30 days. We may need to keep some records, such as signed agreements, where required by law or to resolve disputes.
This site is not intended for anyone under 18.
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
